Julian Bowie x Lookout Credit Union Partnership

(October 1, 2025) – Lookout Credit Union is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Julian Bowie, a standout student-athlete and local success story. A Pocatello native, Julian made headlines during his time at Pocatello High School, where he led the Thunder to a State Championship in basketball during his senior year.

Highly recruited out of high school, Julian chose to continue his academic and athletic career at Boise State University, where he now plays guard for the Broncos. Currently a sophomore, he is pursuing a degree in Business at BSU.

This partnership marks an important expansion of Lookout Credit Union’s mission to enrich the lives of our members and the communities we serve. Through this collaboration, we aim to further promote financial well-being, foster market leadership, and increase brand awareness - all while supporting a student-athlete who exemplifies excellence both on and off the court.

“We’re excited to welcome Julian to the Lookout family. His leadership, both on and off the court, makes him an ideal partner to help us connect with the next generation on the importance of financial education,” said the Lookout Credit Union VP of Marketing BJ Fillingame. “Julian is a shining example of the talent and heart found in the Pocatello community, and we’re proud to collaborate with him.

”Bowie says this partnership makes sense for several reasons. “Obviously I’m from this area and I’m passionate about community, but also, I’m doing something new and I’m excited to learn more about Lookout CU and things we can accomplish together. Our affiliation will dovetail nicely with what I’m learning about in my business classes.”

“Promoting and encouraging financial health is important not only for myself, but for my teammates and peers," Bowie said. "As a student athlete, it really helps to have Lookout Credit Union on my team to help guide my financial journey."

“We are excited to share the first fruits of our collaboration with Julian with our membership and the community in the coming weeks.” Fillingame concluded.
